A-G Requirements
Both CSU and UC schools require students to fulfill their A-G requirements in order to be eligible for admission.
Here below are some examples of classes that can satisfy the A-G requirements:
History (2 years)
B) English (4 years total)
C) Mathematics (3 years)
D) Laboratory Science (2 years, at least 2 of 3 subjects)
• Algebra 1 • Geometry • Algebra 2
• Trigonometry/Analysis/Pre-calculus
• Calculus
• Probability & Statistics
• Biology • Chemistry • Physics
• 1 year of world History, Cultures, and historical geography
• 1 year of US history. Or half year of US history and half year of Civics or American government
• Writing skills
• Grammar
• Vocabulary
• Critical Reading
Launguage other than English (2 years)
Visual and Performing Arts (1 year)
• Theater/drama
•Music
•Dance
•Visual Art
•Spanish
•French
•Other
College Preparatory Course (1 year)
• of one additional, advanced UC-approved “a-f” course
or
• of a course that has been specifically approved for the elective ("g") area.
