Chicanos/Latinos for Community Medicine (CCM)

 

We are a pre-health undergraduate organization that is committed to providing support, guidance, and education in our pursuit for higher education in medicine. Our beliefs are deeply rooted in providing better health care for our underserved communities through service, empowerment, and improving access to culturally-competent health care.

 

Why is CCM coordinating an event like Project-Up when CCM is mainly for pre-health care?

While we are a pre-health student organization, we are also dedicated to promoting the well-being of the community. By motivating high school students  pursuit a higher education we are also able to help the San Diego community reach new heights. That's why CCM is more than glad to provide a student-initiated and student-run High School conference with the sole purpose of helping High School students that come from underserved and underrepresented areas in San Diego. On top of project up we also have a mentor program that high school students should take advantage of because having an experienced mentor can help navigate you through the waters of applying for college.
